Gold Medal
We are absolutely delighted to congratulate Matthew Molloy on his wonderful achievement in winning Gold in the All Ireland Under 12 600m final. This is a huge achievement and it is richly deserved. Matthew, as well as being a talented athlete,is also a valued member of our Underage squad. We look forward to following his sporting achievements in to the future both on the track and the field of play.
All County Football League.
A solid team performance saw us take the two league points on offer on Sunday morning in Division 3 when we defeated Garrycastle. Goals in either half from Andrew Whitney and Peter Tormey were crucial to this victory. A solid defensive effort back our back line was the springboard to creating plenty of scoring opportunities for our forwards. Well done lads on a fine performance. Our next game in this league is in two week’s time when we will be at home to Mullingar Shamrocks.

We returned to training on Sunday evening with plenty of new faces and a few home runs. Well done to everybody Training again next week at 5.00pm. Everyone is welcome to come along and give it a try.

Sympathy
We would like to extend our deepest the Kelleghan family, Irishtown on the sad passing of Raphael during the week .
We would also like to offer our sympathy to the Carley family, Tyrellspass on the sad passing of Mick last week. Those of us of a certain vintage remember fondly the hours of enjoyment he gave us in the Black and Amber of Downs and in the Maroon of Westmeath.
