AGM

Bunbrosna AGM took place on Sunday last in Tormey’s Pub. Our Chairman, Peter Maguire, opened the meeting with a minute's silence for deceased family members and friends of the club during the year.

Ken Conroy then gave a detailed account of the club's year both on and off the field. He detailed the adult teams' run to the Junior Semi Final and commended all involved in supporting the team during the season as well as acknowledging the great effort and commitment of the players and management. Ken expressed thanks to Orla Foy for her great in maintaining the facilities at the Club as well as extending his thanks to Grounds Committee and Lotto Committee for all their hard work in the Club.

We were then given a comprehensive review of the year from Peter Maguire. This was a very busy year for the club beginning with the Cycleton fundraiser in December in Geerah’s. This was followed by the Medal presentation for Inny Shamrocks U13 and U15 later in the month. The annual Charity match on St Stephens Day was a great success.

Peter outlined the opening of the Walking Track as been a huge benefit to the community. It facilitated the Ireland Light Up Challenge as well the Couch to 5K in February and March. He complimented all Club members that took part in the Women’s Mini Marathon in June.

Peter went on to compliment Declan Forde and Eoin Cawley on their refereeing development, noting that they were representing the Club in a very professional manner. He congratulated our Scór na nÓg Instrumental Musicians who won the Leinster Title recently and noted how the Club were looking forward to supporting the three girls in the All Ireland Final in January.

Peter thanked all involved in the ongoing development of our underage academy and remarked on the great work being done by so many in this area. He praised the great work in a number of our underage teams reaching finals this year.

In his closing remarks, he expressed his Thanks to the Players and Management, Grounds Crew and to the committee and volunteers for their help during the year. He also congratulated all those who celebrated marriages and births during the year.

Colm McCormack, Treasurer, provided us with a detailed and thorough report of the club's accounts. This report highlighted the great work being done in the club to develop our facilities and the investment that has taken place on the same. Colm was congratulated from the floor on the extensive accounting that he had provided and for all the hard work involved in producing such a robust report.

Conor Newman, Underage Co Ordinator, reported on the underage development in the club and the growing numbers at this level which is wonderful to see and testament to all the hard work of all our coaches. Conor paid a special thanks to all our underage sponsors throughout the year. He also paid special mention to the various teams which reached finals this year which is testament to the players talent and enthusiasm as well as the great work put in by the coaches.

Chris Cole then provided a detailed report on Registration. He outlined the growing membership at underage level which is testament to the great work being done by all involved at underage level. Girls and boys underage are seeing an increase in numbers and it is hoped that this will continue for next year.
